The UPS lady showed up this afternoon with the much-awaited white box. Inside the white box was a DSL modem/router, four phone line filters, three different cables, and a setup CD.
I got all the hardware put together in relativly short order and the little black DSL box is sitting on top of my tower case […]

Today being Wednesday, UPS is supposed to show up with the DSL Home-Install kit this afternoon and then the DSL service should be turned on at this end of the internet around 6:00pm tomorrow. That means that by Friday morning I should have this computer and my daughter’s notebook talking to it via a LAN.
