I know it’s only January, but, given how quickly time seems to pass these days, it won’t be long before the high school kids are getting ready for prom. This will be the first time in quite a while that I don’t have children in that age group. *sigh of relief*
What always confused me when I was in high school is how does a 17-year old kid who’s working part time at a fast food joint afford to rent a tuxedo and one of those pure limos to arrive at the prom in? I ended up attending my prom in an out-of-style hand-me-down suit while driving a 9-year old ex-police car. Of course, my date attended a rival school, so we were really popular that night!
