The last time I visited my rheumatologist, she added a medication to the cocktail of pills that I take every day. This one is called Arava. I’m not sure if it’s something new or not, but I do know that now that I’ve been taking it for about a month or so, I can actually go barefoot all day without my feet swelling up and feeling like the soles are rounded. I also don’t find myself feeling like someone is poking needles into my feet after 3 hours without shoes.
I haven’t been able to go barefoot in well over a decade.
I’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for.
