Mood: Frazzled
It has been one of THOSE days. It started out with a trip to America’s Largest Retailer to pick up some items that we ordered online and used the “Site To Store” shipping option. Large retailers are not my favorite place to be this close to Christmas. It isn’t helped by the fact that, because of my shortness of breath, I move incredibly slowly and the “Site To Store” pickup area is as far from the entrance as it can be placed. You know those sweet little old women who get in front of you somehow and take half the day to go anywhere? They were passing me!
I got home and had to get a quick lunch then finish putting together the desk that I got last year at this time. We got a hutch to go with it but I never got the hutch mounted on top of the desk until today. That was extra fun because all the while I’ve got my desk lying on it’s back with the desktop off of it, the three-year old is climbing in, under, and around it. Kids with that kind of energy are the reason why swimming pool fences were invented.
Finally, after much grumbling and gnashing of teeth, the desk was re-assembled and everything put back in and on it. Then it was a game of “entertain the rambunctious three-year old while dinner is being made” so she could refuse to eat anything but a couple of tater tots.
I’m about to finish the day off by trying to convince my little powerhouse to go to bed.
