Learning online

I was talking with a friend who works in an office job in a large city the other day. She has been wanting to move up from her entry-level position and she finally got the nerve to talk to her boss about it. The boss told her that she’d need to complete a course or two before she could get the promotion she was after.

After checking with the local college and junior college, she discovered the courses she needs to take areĀ  available through CoursePark’s online learning system. She tells me that there is no cost to register at CoursePark and you can pick and choose the classes you want, whether they’re for a promotion at work or just some knowledge you’d like to have. Prices for the individual online courses are much lower than at a brick-and-mortar classroom and there are no student loans to follow you around for years on end.

Out of curiosity, I went to their website and found a link titled “learning networks” and looked at it. I found several course bundles there that I would really enjoy taking, just for the sheer joy of learning the material.
