Or how about this

Welcome back!

I’m back on the idea of getting my daughter something that will help her navigate between here and her college in Missouri. I talked a while ago about getting her a Garmin GPS system, but I’ve also found this even cheaper alternative on sale. It’s a Talking Road map Handheld Travel Computer. From what I can tell, it seems to be the same basic idea. You tell it where you’re starting from and where you want to go and it will give you oral directions as you drive. The main difference is that I don’t think this one has any GPS functionality, so if you miss a turn it won’t notice and be able to tell you how to get back on the right course. That would be the reason why this one is a hundred dollars less than the one I was talking about the other day.

Maybe I’m just being silly, but I think it would be an interesting test to take this talking road map and a Garmin GPS system both on the same trip to see if they came up with the same directions. But then again, I’m also the kind of guy who would pit two computerised chess games against each other.

I say you take the talking road map and the GPS system both on the same trip to test their credibility. Further, you could verify which is better for your daughter to use.

It looks like a pocket calculator but it could work! I found Garmin GPS way to expensive!
