What if she can’t find her head with both hands?
Welcome back!
Daughter Number Two will be headed back to school next month and, unlike last year, she’ll be driving herself from here to Missouri. Needless to say, she’s a little apprehensive, never having driven that far before.
Her main concern involves the fact that she doesn’t know the exact route from here to her college dorm room by heart. I went looking around on the web and I found a Garmin nuvi 225 gps system on sale for $119.99 at buy.com.
This would really solver her problem. All she would have to do is program her destination into it and then follow the spoken directions it gives her. It would also come in handy on weekends when she’s visiting her boyfriend’s family instead of driving back home.
I can remember a trip or two in the distant past when a device like this would have saved me an awful headache. The best example I can think of involved driving back and forth on the highway in front of Texas Stadium for an hour in the middle of the night because the guy driving couldn’t seem to see the sign that said “Texas Inn - Exit Here”. Now THERE was a fun trip . . . not.
