100 things that piss me off: 1 self-imposed schedules

I cannot count then number of times I’ve promised myself that I was going to do this, that, or the other thing every day without fail only to have some unforseen and unavoidable circumstance, such as a hospital stay, totally ruin my good intentions.
Rather than setting myself up to fail again by promising to post one item in this category every day for the next three and a half months, I’m just going to promise to get the list finished . . . eventually. It may not be 100 days. It may be 10 years or it may be two weeks, depending on inspiration and opportunity. More than likely, it’ll be somewhere in between those two time frames. But … no promises.

I work for myself and am based at home so I need to impose schedules, it’s the only way you can do it. Or at least that I can do it. If you do find yourself in that situation my tip is you should plan or schedule only 60% of your day, because usually something else comes up that requires immediate attention or you just get plain distracted with youtube videos or something.
My problem isn’t in finishing everything I decide to do in a day … usually.
