100 things that piss me off - an explanation

I read somewhere that two of the things that draw readers to a blog are lists and post titles that are just a wee bit inflammatory. The article I read explained that someone wrote a blog post titled something like, “How to improve your blog’s readership” and got mediocre results with it. Someone else took the same article, reworded the text a little bit, and changed the title to something like, “5 reasons why I don’t like your blog” and got a storm of traffic.
People like lists and people, in general, gravitate toward negatively phrased articles. That last might be because people are generally pessimistic or it might be because people are looking for negative posts to argue with.
In any case, the category, “100 things that piss me off” has been added to this blog in the interest of giving people what they seem to want. It will eventually contain exactly what the title might make you expect to find.
