My dream computer

Welcome back!

Daughter Number Four has been making noises recently about the idea of saving her allowance untils she has enough to buy a refurbished laptop. I got curious and had to go see what was for sale in the price range she was talking about.

I found this Asus notebook for $499. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz processor and 4 GB of RAM along with a 250 GB hard drive. This beast easily has the computing power of my desktop machine. Given that all she wants is something that will get her online and also have the ability to run something like Microsoft Visual C++, I’d almost argue that this machine would be like killing a beetle with a sledge hammer and that maybe I should keep this one for myself and let her have the laptop that I’m using at the moment.

Of course, one must keep in mind that when you have four daughters and one of them gets something really nice, then you’re guaranteed to hear three shrill voices crying, “No fair!”, so maybe I should just forget the whole thing and let her find her own laptop without any help. Then when the cries of “No fair” start, it can be said that she worked for it and got it on her own and it is fair because every one of them had that option.

Too bad. There goes my excuse to get a really nice dual core notebook.

A really nice dream computer. Honestly, we have the same dream. With the fast growing phase of Computer Technology our dreams of a high end computer always changes.

A Core 2 Duo, 4 gig RAM notebooks would really satisfy your dreams and be a part of those people who owns high ends of computers. Such brands as ASUS and ACER would really range from $400 - $500 in the market. Sony VAIO would cost you around $650 - $800 with the same specs as ASUS and ACER. LENOVO in the other hand has the same price range as ASUS and ACER.

Probably grabbing an ASUS laptop is the best thing to do. It has high specs and is cheaper than other brands. Dreaming of an Apple or Dell laptop may be frustrating for anyone because a single laptop is already equivalent to 2 ASUS laptops. Your dreams maybe harder to come true.
