A tribute to John Ritter

Welcome back!

Most kids today probably remember John Ritter mainly as the father on Eight Simple Rules. I, however, am officially OLD and I can remember him playing Reverend Fordyce on The Waltons and, of course, Jack Tripper on Three’s Company.

For the last few years we have skipped current network television in favor of older shows which have been released on DVD. This means that Daughter Number One is hooked on Three’s Company. We were watching that show recently and I saw this clip which really demonstrates the energy that John Ritter possessed.

In this scene, Jack has taken a tranquilizer to overcome his fear of flying and then takes a drink of something called “The Rocket” to overcome the sleepiness he’s fighting. The results are hilarious.
