It’s that time of year again
Welcome back!
Since my birthday is rapidly approaching, I keep finding myself spending time online looking around to see what sort of goodies are on sale.
This time I’ve found something that I’d really enjoy getting. It’s a SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Titanium Plus USB Flash Drive.
I have a 1GB flash drive which I use to store a copy of FireFox Portable along with Mozilla Thunderbird Portable as well as a bunch of other things I found at PortableAps.com. These are all programs I use fairly regularly on both my laptop and my desktop machine. By having the portable editions on a flash drive, I can carry my email, my address book as well as my browser’s bookmarks and history back and forth between mt laptop and my desktop computer and eliminate the little annoyances that can pop up because what I need is on the machine I’m not using.
This 4GB flash drive would allow me to carry around more portable applications applications and, as a side benefit, I could set aside a couple of gigabytes for eBoostr to use as cache memory on my laptop and I’d get a real improvement in response time on that machine.
Right now that jump drive is on sale for less than $15. Honestly, if I wasn’t under orders to not by myself anything between now and my birthday I’d run out and buy one of those.

That sounds like a really good deal for a thumb drive. I say you should go out and buy one. I mean that would be a great jump in capacity. Do it, no one will know.
