Notice anything different?

First off, if you came here wanting to drop an EntreCard, you’ve probably noticed that the EntreCard widget has been removed. It has gotten very little use lately, largely because I barely can find time these days to maintain my own blog, never mind going to visit 300 other blogs every day. Also, it seems to me that if the only reason people come to a site is to click a button and leave, I’d really rather not have them falsely inflating my stats. If you’re here to read what I have to say, that’s great. If you’re here to click a button and leave as quickly as you can, then don’t waste your time and mine.

The other change is because of a change made by the place that hosts the blogrolls I’ve been displaying. It seems that now, unless you want to pay them for a “premium” account (or whatever they’re calling it), the javascript code will display all the blogs in the list instead of a reasonable number. As an added “feature”, clicking on any of the links displayed now brings up the blog you’re trying to visit with an advertisement across the top. If I wanted an advertisement across the top of my blog, I’d arrange to get paid for having it there.

Perhaps by removing a whole bunch of outbound links, I might convince certain search engines might improve their opinion of this blog.
