I finally saw Iron Man
Welcome back!
I finally got the chance to see Iron Man recently. I can’t say anything about whether it followed the comic books at all because, frankly, when I was reading comic books, Iron Man wasn’t my cup of tea. I was more of a Fantastic Four and Superman fan. I will say, however, that the movie is great.
The biggest surprise for me was the realization that Obadiah Stane was played by Jeff Bridges. That man looks nothing like he did in Starman. Obviously, he’s 20-some years older, but he’s shaved his head, grown a beard (a combination I always thought looked ridiculous), and gotten FAT!
I’ve heard about actors needing to gain weight for an upcoming roll, and I’ve always wondered if the majority of them elect to keep the extra tonnage or start something like Orovo detox or try their luck with a more conventional diet.
On a side note, while looking up Jeff Brides filmography, I saw that he was recently in something called How To Lose Friends And Alienate People. Maybe I’m just twisted, but that struck me as funny.

Iron Man is a great and entertaining movie. They don’t always follow comic book when they adopt a comic book to a movie. just like in spiderman wherein the movie he has unlimited supply of web, back in the comic book he can’t create his own web he makes it.
