More silliness from the local news folks

The people who do the newscast at this end of the internet are so stuck on their proverbial treadmills - just getting the job done without any thought to what they’re doing - that I had to laugh out loud at their newscast tonight.
They did a report about the dangers of cold weather and the alarming number of people who have gotten frostbite or pneumonia or just plain frozen to death this winter.
Pretty serious stuff, right? I thought so.
Somebody just wasn’t watching what they were doing, however, because the very next report that they did was talking about some event being put on by the Polar Bear Club.
You know… those maniacs who go swimming when the only reason the water isn’t frozen is because it’s moving?
Am I the only one who saw the irony there?

I imagine these newscasters are just reading the news. The real culprits here are the editors and the director. They control the floor. Others are just puppets. Sometimes I laughed at the news but I don’t mind because laughing is good for the heart.
