Sorry, sis

While my younger sister was here today she told me that my older sister has suggested another remedy that’s supposed to help with arthritis pain. She is recommending that I wear a magnetic bracelet. I’ve heard of that before and I’ve even seen a few people doing it. And I have a very valid reason why I, personally, will not do it.

Metal allergies.

Those bracelets are, by necessity, made of either copper or stainless steel. I know from experience that if it isn’t sterling silver or 14K gold I can’t wear it without breaking out in a rash where it touches me.

I once had a necklace on a stainless steel chain and after three days of wearing it I looked like someone tried to cut my head off with a dull knife. I also had to look around for a watchband that puts leather between my wrist and the back of the watch.

I appreciate the thought, sis, but no thanks.
