Eartha Kitt dies at 81
Welcome back!
This evening my wife looked up from her email and informed me that Eartha Kitt died of colon cancer today. Being the well-informed, always-on-top-of-it guy that I am. I paused my job of putting my daughters’ textbooks away and said, “Who’s that?”
Turns out that I have seen her on television. Back in the late 1960s she was playing Catwoman on the original Batman series.

She was a talented singer. I own her record “I Want to Be Evil” (more as a collecter item rather than something I listen to regularily
