Did you ever meet someone who…
Welcome back!
…had this uncanny way of irritating you even when ypu know that they’re not trying to?
You guessed it; I’m about to go off about the obnoxious neighbor again. This guy knows we have a baby in the house and he’s heard us make comments about wanting people to be grammatically correct when the baby is listening. Babies learn to speak by listening to others do it and I firmly believe that when they learn english from people who use it correctly they have an easier time in school. I know that theory worked in my own case.
Mister Obnoxious, however, has decided that his ability to speak english saddles him with the responsibility of correcting every “who” that should be a “whom” and every “bring” that is replaced with “take” - even when the baby is nowhere in evidence.
Is it morally wrong to verbally abuse someone who’s just doing what you asked them to do even though they’re driving you to distraction?
