Things that make me go, “WHAT!?”
Welcome back!
I wasn’t feeling well last night so I went to bed really early and didn’t pay attention to the election returns. In the wee hours of this morning, my wife gave up on them and tried to get some sleep. Before settling in for the night, she told me a few things that made me go, “WHAT?”
Is it true that John McCain gave a concession speech when only ten percent of the votes had been counted? Maybe I’m just stubborn, but if it had been me, a concession speech wouldn’t have ever been an option. I’d wait it out until each and every vote had been counted. After a two-year campaign, it sure seems like he gave up rather easily.
And, by the way, what’s this about CNN declaring that Obama had won California when ZERO percent of that state’s votes had been counted? When did the news media start hiring psychics?

I am not sure when McCain conceded but it gave him the impression of a real gentleman. But of course, concession speech should not be given until 60 or 70% of the votes had been counted.
