Our cat is a klutz

Welcome back!

I need to take a break from griping about my computer troubles, so now I’m going to gripe about our cat, Max.

I shouldn’t gripe, actually. This cat supplies us with a lot of entettainment, as well as reason to wonder about him. Max will, for reasons only he knows, spend as much as an hour trotting back and forth from one end of the house to the other. The animal doesn’t walk. He trots. We’ve had him for about 5 years and I have yet to see that animal actually walk anywhere.

Once he finally gets tired of trying to wear a path in the carpet, he’ll eventually jump up into the window in the utility room and go to sleep. We had to put empty egg cartons in the window sills in the kitchen to keep him from going to sleep in those windows because after he’s been asleep for a while, he will invariably fall out of the window. The kitchen windows are right over the sink, you see. I thought we should have solved the problem by leaving the sink full of water, but I was the only one who thought that’d be a good idea.

Max also likes to sing. Or howl. or whatever you want to call that awful noise he makes while watching the cats in the back yard. I really think he knows English, too, because he and I have conversations:

Max: MEEEEOOOOOOOWWW! MMMRRRRRRROOOOWWWWWLLLL!
Me: Max! Do you know what they use to string tennis racquets?
Max: (quietly) meow. (followed by utter silence)

Maybe your cat thinks its his job to to trot back and forth everyday. It’s his daily purpose.

That’s too funny. My cat is the exact opposite of yours. You see he is a hunter and his favorite past time is going and killing all types of various rodents and animals and leaving their remains on my door. It always makes for an exciting morning when I step outside without looking to leave for work, to hear the crunching and exploding of various body parts. Ugh..

Hahaha! That’s funny. We have a cat that’s kinda a klutz too. One night she thought it’d be cute if she climbed inside of one of our hampers on top of a shelf that we have. After about 20 minutes (and unknown to us) we hear a shattering and a shreak. It seems that in her sleep she must have turned over moving the hamper off the shelf and slammed to the ground. Poor thing must have been so scared!

Personally I’m the same way. I love cats and love to see pictures, so post them up when you get a chance! What’s really fun is watching how cats interact, they are by far the best pet. The differences between cats can be staggering. We have a cat that is playful, energetic, and loving and another that’s quite, intuitive, and at times lazy.
