Another one bites the dust
Welcome back!
The local high school played their fourth football game of the season tonight. Coincidentally, they also lost their fourth game of the season. They are improving, however. Tonight they managed to score 7 points to the other team’s 35. Last week, if I recall correctly, they didn’t score at all.
The opponents’ team was really something. The guys were all six feet or taller and at least 250 pounds. They had one guy who might be able to get a job as a bulldozer - if he is willing to lose weight.
And the coach for the other team must be really into psychological attacks, too. They had a quarterback named “Tripod” and another player named “Canon”. He was definitely one of the “Big Guns”.
Next week’s game doesn’t sound like it’s going to be any better. That’s going to ba an “Away” game. These folks are so …erm… “spirited” that our band hasn’t made the trip down there since the year our busses were vandalized in their parking lot.
