Tele-bots should be illegal
Welcome back!
Remember a few years ago when the latest and greatest news for the average person was the “Do-Not-Call” list? It was supposed to be Uncle Sam’s way of making it clear to advertisers that telephones are not promotional products.
From what I’ve seen, the only effect it has had is that now we get 5 calls every day from various recordings. The phone just rang (and woke up my granddaughter, thank you very much) and when I answered it I heard a recorded voice saying, “Hi. This is Mike, calling to set up delivery of your new…” then I hung up.
On the few occasions I’ve had the time and the patience to sit through the whole recorded spiel long enough to figure out how (or if) I can talk to a human being, I usually get hung up on as soon as they find out I’m going to be complaining.
Enough complaining for now; I have to go settle a fussy baby.
Thanks a heap, Mike, whoever you are.

I must say these silly computer generated calls really are a big turn of. Moreover my caller id would every time give me a number which I won’t be able to track because it is false. Just don’t know how they fake their numbers and why they spend soo much money on a medium of ad where people don’t really care?
Yeah, I rarely use my home phone. Somehow one company got my mobile phone number now with a recording warning me my car insurance might be in danger. Let’s bring the Do Not Call List back to America, it’ll solve all of our economic woes.
welp, thats technology!
Now that you say it I think you are right - recorded calls are on the rise. Hate them!
