Where does the time go

Welcome back!

It doesn’t seem possible to me that it’s been a week since my last post went up! I could make some smart remark about how time’s fun when you’re having flies (or something like that), but the truth is that I’ve just been busy doing other things.

A large part of what I’ve been doing is trying to convince mb-sleeping.jpg Granddaughter Number One to do like she is in this picture. She seems to enjoy spending large portions of the morning and early afternoon crying and yelling at her grandfather. On the other hand, this little noisemaker is six and a half weeks old and has been smiling at people since she was about three days old. I know, a lot of people are reading that and going, “That’s just gas”. Nope. Can’t be. This kid already knows how to smile in such a way that you can see it in her eyes, not just on her lips. And, you know what? Just one of those grins makes you forget a whole afternoon of screaming.

The other thing that’s had me so busy for the last week has been the fact that I finally broke down and set up my own MySpace account. Originally, it was just on a whim, because my wife made the comment that she had no friends on MySpace, but I’ve since discovered that not only is it an excellent place to show off pictures of my granddaughter, but it can be just a little bit addicting as well.
