Daughter Number Three has developed a thing for chipmunks recently. Specifically, Alvin and the Chipmunks. She spends an alarming amount of time on YouTube looking up song videos that have been “chipmunked” (meaning that someone with the same strange obsession and a sound editor has raised the pitch on the audio so it sounds like Alvin and The Chipmunks singing).
When she’s not looking up Chipmunk videos on YouTube (and sending them to me with StumbleUpon.com), she’s using Microsoft Paint to draw various Chipmunk characters. She has drawn Alvin wearing a StarFleet uniform and holding a tricorder, Simon wearing full tactical gear ready to kick some terrorist butt, and Theodore done up as a combination of Darth Vader and Dracula.
She draws very well; I just wish she’d expand her horizons beyond someone else’s copyrighted characters. Sigh.
