Odd food concoctions

Welcome back!

Somehow recently the conversation turned to strange food combinations. I think this was about the time I was watching Daughter Number Three put ketchup on her broccoli and cauliflower while making a macaroni and cheese sandwich. I was reminded of my father, who liked to open a can of split pea with ham soup and, instead of adding water and cooking it the way the label said, he would spread it on a slice of bread like peanut butter and eat it that way.

The king of weird food, however, has got to be my brother. The man has recipes for a tuna fish omelet, sauerkraut pizza, and (if I remember correctly) jalepeno pancakes.

So, tell me, is it just my family that is so bizarre, or does every family have a person or two who seems willing to subject their stomach to all sorts of hideous tortures?

I don’t know about the rest of you, but your brother may just be a gourmet! :-)

LOL I’ll be sure to tell him you said that… Alternatively, you could visit The Tinfoil Chef and tell him yourself. :-)

Heh… Y’know, one of these days I need to create and publish a recipe for the Tunafish Pizza I’ve been threatening to make for years. Then again, I did recently post an “Amish Lemon Sponge” recipe that doesn’t actually include any sponges. (But I still haven’t figured out how to tell if the lemon is Amish or not.)

” jalepeno pancakes.” Now that actually sounds good.

I’m gonna try that.. Maybe, even add some sausage.

    Tell your brother thanks.
