I was trying to do a special-effect in a video, just to see if I could get it right. I was trying to do the “green screen” trick that almost all sci-fi movies use to make spaceships look like they’re actually in space.
The idea is you film your actor / space ship / whatever standing in front of a nice, even, green background. Next, you take the video into an editor and replace the green with a transparent “alpha channel” and then put the resulting video in front of whatever background you want.
I seriously found myself wishing that someone would make an anti wrinkle cream for cloth. You could coat the cloth with this stuff and then fold it or wad it up and throw it in the bottom of a closet, or whatever, and it would still come back straight and crisp as a brand new dollar bill. As you can guess, my cloth had a few crease marks in it that I had trouble removing because they showed up as a different shade of green than the rest of the cloth.
Oh well, it worked in theory…
