This sounds familiar
My brother has had a problem recently with being short of breath after the simplest of activities, so he went in last week for a 4-hour stress test. I have no idea what that involves, but I do know that it sounds like a whole lot of no fun at all, to quote a friend of mine.
He got the results a couple of days ago. Seems his heart has a weak chamber. He’s scheduled to see a cardiologist tomorrow so they ca do a heart cath. I’ve had that done and, I can verify that it, too, is no fun. They insert a miniature camera-thingy into your blood vessel and navigate it around to look at your heat For some reason, though, they find it necessary to insert this thing in the inside of your right hip. Something about that being a nice, big vein. The problem is, though, that when they’re done they insist you lie flat on your back for 6 hours because it’s very dangerous if that particular vein starts bleeding.
I don’t know what they do for a weak chamber. I’ve heard mention of the possibility of putting in a stent, but I’m not even sure what, exactly, that is. I’m guessing they’ll also insist that he start taking Orovo or some other weight loss pill because, frankly, my brother is not a small person by any stretch of the imagination.
