Something you don’t see every day
I saw something unusual today, but it requires a little explanation.
Because we live in the middle of nowhere, the local water company is a small operation with one man running the place. It’s my understanding that there’s a guy who helps out when it’s time to read meters or dig up water lines, for whatever reason, butthere’s just the one guy running the office.
Well, he must’ve gotten some new office furniture not too long ago, because when I drove past there today there was a desk and a file cabinet sitting out by the curb with “For Sale” signs on them.
At least, I hope he’s gotten some new furniture - I’d hate to think that the water company’s about to go belly-up! I’m not too sure about the well-water here. It’s fine for running this funky heat pump, but it hasn’t been put in a human mouth in 25 years or so.
