woman hit in parking lot strikes back
I heard a story that’s kind of funny, or ironic, or something.
There was this woman who was leaving a large department store. She was crossing the parking lot to get to her car when some pushy businessman in a black Mercedes came tearing around a corner and knocked her flat on her backside.
Fortunately, our intrepid shopper wasn’t injured beyond a bruise or two. Mister Loudmouthed Businessman got out of his car and, rather than expressing concern for our poor girl, he started ranting and raving about what a fool the woman was for being where she was and not in a designated crosswalk. He completely ignored the fact that he was driving his Mercedes way too fast for any parking lot and the fact that the only crosswalk in sight would have lead the woman back into the store which she was leaving.
The woman listened to this quietly deciding that she was going to take care of this in her own way. The next morning, she got on the phone with a group of Raleigh personal injury attorneys and explained to them what happened. She was told to come in that afternoon and talk with their guy.
When she got there and explained what happened, they felt she had a pretty good case against Mr. Loudmouth.
