It dawns on me that I rambled on in my last post about why about why I hadn’t seen a rheumatologist in so long because I didn’t have insurance and I never got around to telling you what he said. I’m sure you’re on the edge of your seat with anticipation, so here goes: :) First off, he scolded me for going so ,long without seeing a rheumatologist, then he got onto me because I have been taking high doses of prednisone for 10 years and I really should have been taking nutritional supplements such as calcium and vitamin D because, to hear him tell it, my hips should be ready to shatter by now. (However, I had a bone density scan about 4 years ago and, at that time, the density of my hip bones was about 105% of normal - all that milk I drank as a kid :) .)
