Rheumatology update

The other day I actually saw a rheumatologist for the first time in about three years. I pretty much quit going to the rheumatologist back in December of 2004 when I got laid off from my job and lost my family life insurance. I was given the option of continuing the insurance through a plan called COBRA, but it would have cost me more than my unemployment check was at the time. This doctor is native to India and I think the reason for being referred to him might have just a little to do with my family doctor also being native to India. ;)

I’m not going to complain, though. According to the plaque I saw in his office, he’s been voted the best rheumatologist in the state.

Then again … we are talking about the state of Arkansas, here … where the state motto is “Huh” :)
