I know most people would probably say that this is still a little early, but our house is already beginning to fill up with Christmas gifts. According to my wife, we got a late start this year. Usually, she starts searching the internet for Christmas gift ideas around July.
Since the gifts are beginning to arrive in the mail (we buy almost everything online - the only major store within 30 miles of here is America’s Largest retailer), The Daughters are beginning to ask about what’s inside all those boxes that are piling up. I’ve taken to giving them answers that they know are wrong just because I like the reaction it gets:
example:
Daughter: What’s in this box?
Me: twin elephants.
Daughter: right… how about this one?
Me: Oh, that’s a pair of matching treadmills for the elephants to use.
Daughter (rolls her eyes in disgust):Mom!!!
Me: Muhahahahaha!
