In my last post I provided links to descriptions of the two computers we have at this end of the internet. Anyone who bothered to read those descriptions will realize that I need some newer equipment. The plan is that after New Year’s Day I will start acquiring the pieces and parts to put together another computer. To that end, I’m already checking various motherboard reviews.
It’s been long enough since I put together the last computer that I really had no idea what to look for, or even where to look. I discovered that by going to a search engine and entering “Motherboard Reviews” I could get quite a few places to look around.
It looks like I’m going to spend the rest of the afternoon pouring over the motherboard reviews located at http://wize.com/motherboards/. I can thing of much, much more unpleasant ways to spend an afternoon.
