We’ve got a full house this weekend. Daughter Number One and Daughter Number Two are both home from school this weekend and tomorrow we’re going to be expecting The Aunt and The Uncle because Daughter Number Three and Daughter Number Four have a dual birthday party. Daughter Number Four’s birthday is tomorrow and Daughter Number Three has a birthday on Tuesday. Saturday is the only day we can get everyone here at once, so it’s a birthday party built for two.
Since this is Daughter Number One’s first time living away from home, she’s not used to seeing what was “her” room filled with Daughter Number Three’s stuff. She hasn’t come out and said this yet, but I get the impression that she thinks we’ve been doing some succession planning ever since she started talking about leaving for college.
That’s really not the case. it’s just that, with this many people in the family, you take advantage of any room / bed / sofa / floor space that isn’t being used.
