In my complaining about the trip today I forgot to mention that, because I have run out of disposable contact lenses and have to wear my glasses, I couldn’t wear my sunglasses. This is not actually a vanity thing. It’s got to do with the fact that some of the medications I take make my eyes sensitive to light. The sunglasses at least make it tolerable when some alpha-male in a four-wheel-drive pickup with a nice chrome truck toolbox reflects the sun into my eyes.
