Is this silly or what?

I was at the doctor’s office this morning on a follow-up to my recent hospital stay. The doc decided that, because my kidney function was a little questionable while I was in the hospital, he wanted to do a blood test to test my kidneys.
The reason my kidney function was questionable is because my blood pressure had dropped dangerously low (65/34 at one point) and they were doing everything they could to raise it . . . including giving me stuff to make me retain water instead of the “water pills” I normally take to … err… get rid of water.
Do you have any idea how asinine it is to be told your kidney function needs to be checked while you’re standing there with your bladder about to burst?
