The Homecoming

My daughter (number three) has been staying with her aunt for quite some time and just moved back in with her wretched old Mom and Dad last week.
It’s been an interesting adjustment for all parties concerned. We have slightly different rules here that she’s not used to. Some things that her aunt used to allow are not allowed here and some of the things we let her do her aunt would even consider. Different households have different rules. It’s that simple.
I’m also having to get used to some changes. Like having a 14-year old in the house who can’t function before she has her morning cup of coffee. I can relate. Most people know not to speak to me before I’ve had at least one, preferably two cups of coffee.
Wendi is in the running for the most girly girl of the four girls I have. This means that she has about half a million stuffed animals in her room.
The computer I use during the day when she’s in school and her mom is using the other one is in Wendi’s room. This means that I’m sitting here trying to put this blog entry together while there is a 4-foot purple and pink stuffed snake sitting on top if the monitor and staring at me.
Heh… I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
