The Letter
Welcome back!
I got a letter today from my cousin, Lisa who lives in North Carolina. Seems Lisa has had a bit of a rough time lately. She was driving her kids home from the sitter’s house last week and a deer ran out in front of her car. Lisa said that she all but stood on the brake pedal and managed to keep the car on the road, but she couldn’t avoid hitting the deer. Thankfully, the kids were strapped into their booster seats and suffered only some jangled nerves.
Lisa, on the other hand, wasn’t so lucky. Her car is older than the idea of air bags and when her face hit the steering wheel she broke two teeth! Now she has an appointment with a charlotte cosmetic dentist that her medical insurance won’t pay because it’s dental work and her dental insurance won’t pay because it’s cosmetic.
I suppose it’s a good thing for my cousin that I made up the whole thing just to have something to write about tonight!
