Comment system modified

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’m not that fond of having to moderate comments, if only because when I leave a comment somewhere, I want to see it on the page right away and something in me resents having to wait for someone to decide my comment is worthwhile.

That said, the reason I’ve left comment moderation turned on is because of spammers. You’d be amazed at how many comments I’ve deleted in the last week because they were nonsensical jibberish loaded with URLs.

Tonight, all that changes.

I’ve found a wordpress modification by Jeff Bar that will require all commenters to enter my name (or, at least the one I use online ;) ) into a box before posting a comment.

Okay, so the post I’ve linked to is almost two years old. That’s typical travel time to this end of the internet. :)

That should work fine until the spammers teach their spambots to spell Thriell.

If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

Good idea, I will check that one out- right now I use ‘Bad Behavior’ and ‘Askimet’ - and a plugin for my comment form that make them add 2 numbers together in a box… maybe they have that for comments as well? Good luck!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
