Just one little annoyance

I’m sure most of my readers are at least mildly familiar with what Rheumatoid Arthritis is. It’s been shown on television and in the movies enough. Anyone remember Fred Sanford? :)

What you never seem to hear about, though, is this wonderful condition which sometimes goes along with Rheumatoid Arthritis. It’s called Vasculitis or Rheumatoid Vasculitis. That little gem is caused when your body starts creating antibodies that attack your blood vessels. It causes these really horrid-looking red splotches that make people think I’ve been playing in the poison ivy patch. It is actually an alergic reaction, but it’s myself that I’m alergic to! I have had this condition long enough that I don’t really mind the looks or the comments I get because of the rash. I like the reaction I get when I tell people I’m alergic to myself.

What I don’t like is that every evening while I’m sitting up at the computer way later than I should, my legs and feet start in with this itchy burning thing and if I don’t stop what I’m doing right away and go put my feet up then when I do finally go to bed, I’m going to lie there for an hour wishing my legs would stop hurting.
