Stuck ‘Read-only’ attribute problem fixed

The CD to which I was trying to copy that folder was formatted with a utility called “InCD” which comes with Nero Bruning ROM. InCD allows you to read and write to a CD-RW disk just like you would a floppy disk. I find that incredibly more convenient than having to wait while the computer burns an entire CD just to update one file.

It turns out that I had to right-click on the CD-RW drive in Windows Explorer, select the “recording” tab and tell Windows that it was possible to write on that drive.

I’m sorry, but that is, without a doubt, one of the STUPIDEST things I’ve ever seen. It’s a CD-RW drive, for crying out loud. The ‘W’ in that acronym stands for WRITE. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that its possible to write on the drive.

Yet, you actually have to tell Windows XP that it can write on a CD-RW drive.

I have officially seen everything.
