Since we’re well into the second week since I paid for a power supply and it’s still not here, I decided to import all of Thingamablog’s entries into Wordpress by hand. It took a total of 6 1/2 hours spread over two nights, but Wordpress’s database now contains all my old posts. Unfortunately, any comments put in with the old software didn’t make the transition.
I still need to move WordPress’s files up to http://thriell.blacksheepjewelry.com and get them out of the /wordpress subdirectory, but since that must be done via FTP that means downloading 400 files and then sending them back up to a different directory.
Maybe when I’m a little less sleepy I can think of an easier way…
