Iran set to free Britons

I heard today that Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (hereafter
referred to as Goofie, ’cause I don’t wanna have to type that name again and the obvious spelling of the nickname is the name of a trademarked character)
is going to “(forgive) these 15 people and (give) their freedom to the British people as a gift.”

So, let me get this straight. Goofie and his people take 15 hostages, first admitting that these people were a good two miles outside of Iranian territory then, a day or so later, saying that they were, in fact 1 mile or so inside Iranian territory, they make all these threats about how the are going to put these 15 people on trial, then, out of the clear blue, Goofie suddenly decides that he’s going to forgive and forget the whole affair “as a gift”. What a guy. A better gift would have been for Goofie and his cronies to stay at home and play with their tinkertoys.

Rule number one: If you’re going to kidnap someone for trespassing, NEVER admit, even for a second, that your borders were never violated..

DUH!

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Fifteen British military personnel  are to be freed by Iran on Thursday after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he would forgive them despite Britain’s failure to acknowledge they had strayed into Iranian territory.
