The last Win98se user is finally about to upgrade

Things take a little while to make it out to this end of the internet. For that reason, I only upgraded my copy of Flight Simulator For Windows 95 to Flight Simulator 2004 this last Christmas (Thanks, girls!!) . Now that I’m running FS2004 in 2007, I’m finally about to move from Windows 98SE to Windows XP. One of the things that has bugged me about it is the fact that I like to keep my desktop set to 1024×768 while my wife wants hers at 800×600 but Windows XP sets ALL users’ desktops to the most recently chosen setting.
After hunting around a bit I found this page where Micro$loth says that changing the screen resolution for one user changes it for everyone and that’s by design, so you can’t change it. That’s stupid. Win98 could do it . . . why remove features for an ‘upgraded’ version? They did the same thing going from Flightsim 5 to Flightsim For Win98: they removed the ‘multiplayer’ feature then put it back in a newer version (FS2002 or FS2004) like it was a new thing!
However, I found that link on this page advertising a program which does exactly what Micro$loth said you couldn’t do..
I’ll be bookmarking that page so I can try their 7-day test-run.
