Where does the wind come from?

Here’s something that will make you think - if I can express myself correctly. Otherwise, I’ll just end up sounding like an idiot. (TOO LATE).
When you’re standing outside and the wind is blowing like crazy, the direction from which it is coming is obvious, but, what if the wind was a constant speed that never changed and you traveled into the wind. Let’s also pretend that the laws of physics have been amended to allow you to do this without increasing the wind you feel because you’re moving. Would you eventually come to a place where the breeze started? I mean, so that there was no wind in front of where you’re standing, but a good stiff wind behind you (one that didn’t smell bad, smart alec).
This is the kind of thing that pops into my head for no real reason.
