Happy 42nd birthday to the Pillsbury Doughboy!
I remember those early ads. Some poor mom is trying to put dinner together and when she opens a can of Pillsbury rolls out jumps this walking, talking 8-inch dough-person. Yeah, like I’m gonna eat something that has little people living in it!
According to the guy on the car radio yesterday, it was on March 18, 1965 that Pillsbury first accosted TV viewers with the Giggling Gremlin. However, according to about.com, the little freak wasn’t debuted until October of that year.
