Why I hate tinted windows

Picture this: Your cruising East down the interstate at the posted limit of 70 miles per hour. It’s a beautiful day at about 5 o’clock on a clear afternoon in the late part of Winter. Not too cold and not so hot that you can’t stand it either. All of a sudden this car whizzes past you and slides into the lane in front of you. About this time you discover two things:
- That nice looking Mustang has the back window tinted with a mirrored finish.
- This late in the day, the sun bounces straight off of that mirrored window and right into your eyes.
All of a sudden you’re trying to drive while looking directly into a search light! Not only can you not see a blasted thing, but just trying to keep your eyes open is some of the worst pain you’ve felt in years . . . In my case, it actually hurt worse than open heart surgery and the associated recovery!
It’s not just the sports car enthusiasts who do this. It’s also the tractor-trailers that have nice polished unpainted sheet metal on their back doors . . . and the BACKS of those green highway signs in the oncoming lane.
Can somebody PLEASE explain to me why it is legal to BLIND people who are DRIVING?
